Lomography Konstruktor cam challenge: 3D photo rig concept1
grabcad
A simple 3D photo rig design for Lomography Konstruktor series cameras utilizes only five parts, printable via 3D printing or injection molding. The main component is a base that secures the camera using tripod hole threads and aligned bumpers. An innovative arm mechanism allows simultaneous shutter release with one push button while accommodating fully opened film doors for easy film changes without dismantling the arm. Emphasizing Lomography's aesthetic, hard lines, boxy shapes, and appropriate badging are incorporated. The design offers numerous flat surfaces for stickers to personalize the appearance. Considering cost, 3D printing is feasible but expensive, approximately $200 per unit. It serves as an ideal prototype testing method before transitioning to injection molding, where high initial tooling costs are balanced by reduced per-unit price and increased production speed. The rubber grip can be molded or cut to shape using a cutting press. Kind regards, Jon-
