It appears that someone at the office has a major sweet tooth, as for this month I was assigned with designing a machine capable of sorting M&M’s by their color. Happily, it turned out not to be nearly as complicated as I initially thought, and it ended up being quite inexpensive. There is indeed a considerable amount of 3D printing involved, but the electronics are surprisingly straightforward.
