Loki's Crown
thingiverse
Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to share my first upload on Thingiverse with you all. I wanted to create something truly special that would bring a smile to your faces and make you proud to wear. As it happens, I've developed a real passion for 3D printed masks, and I was determined to find the perfect model of Loki's new crown. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find anything on Thingiverse! So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create one myself. The whole project took about two months, and I chose to use Solidworks (sorry, Blender fans!). Given that this is my first project, I'm eager to answer any questions or requests you may have. Please be aware that the model isn't perfect, and I'll need your help to improve it. I hope you enjoy it, Axel CAUTION: Before starting, please read the "Read me first" .txt file for valuable information that will save you time and ensure a successful print. The 100% model was designed to fit my little sister's head, which has a circumference of 200x140. You'll likely need to scale it down to suit your own head size. BED SIZE: To accommodate different printers, I've provided three options: * If you have a huge printer (200x200x200 or larger), try printing the crown in one piece. This will require more PLA for supports. + Note: Delta printers may need to adjust their carriage stops when printing at this height (h280 is sufficient). + Caution: Cura may cut 10 mm from X and Y sides, leaving you with a 190x190 bed size that can't print the crown in full size... * If you have a medium printer (100x100x200 or larger), check out the "Cuted parts" folder and look for "Crown_4 pieces." This should fit many printers. + Note: Be aware that scaling the model will also scale the small holes used to build the crown. * If you have a small printer (100x100x120 or smaller), go to the "Cuted parts" folder and open "Crown_6 pieces." You'll find the crown divided into six printable pieces. Special thanks to Wurfelrolle for their question! TIPS: Want to take control of the world? Sorry, this crown won't be enough – you'll need to check out the Chitauri Scepter from GlitchTech (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:305204) to achieve that goal. Trust me, having a crown AND an amazing scepter makes you way cooler!
