When I bought the Logitech Z906, I really wanted to fix these speakers to my monitor. Having switched to a wall mounted ultrawide, I got kind of OCD about having nothing standing on my desk, and anyway these full range cone speakers have a way of focusing at higher frequencies, so it makes a lot of sense to have the speakers mounted at ear height. This thing contains three different designs: a stick-on holder for the front left and right speakers to attach to the monitor via glue strips so it's completely reversible a rather massive center speaker holder that attaches to any wall-mounted 200x200 VESA mount from the rear of the monitor. I cannot guarantee it fits every monitor or monitor stand, but my monitor is an Alienware AW3420 and that has a pretty massive footprint and it's fine. The monitor attaches to the 100x100, and the 200x200 is used to attach the center speaker. a wall mounted solution for the rear satellites. The Z906 satellites have a rear threaded insert which is M6, but it's rather short. So make sure you get some short bolts (like M6x15 max) to attach the speakers to the printed brackets, or you may need to grind them down. You need to print: Front satellite holder: 1x left, 1x right version Center speaker: 2x VESA mount (it's symmetric, and you need to bolt it together, cause otherwise it doesn't fit the print bed) Rear satellite holder: 2x wallmount, 2x speakermount (these are not left and right, just symmetrical designs). Hardware: Front satellite holder: 2x M6x15 mm, shorter if you can get it, to attach the satellites to the brackets. Hex or allen doesn't matter, I found hex easier because it's easier to reach from the back. VESA center holder: 3x M6x30 or 25 mm hex or allen bolts, 3x M6 hex nuts, 3x washer to bolt the two parts together, 1x M6x30 to attach the speaker. Rear satellite holder: 2x M6x60 hex or allen bolts, 2x washer, 2x M6 hex nuts to bolt the two parts together, 2x M6 x 25 hex bolts to attach the speakers, 2x M6 hex nuts to fix the speakers in position. The wall mount through hole is 5.5 mm, so you can use a 5mm wood screw or whatever your wall mounting solution requires. I strongly advise to use flathead screws, 3D printed brackets don't take well to angled heads. How I Designed This =================== I always design in SolidWorks. The challenge for the front satellite holders was to get the side contour of the speakers measured or approximated. Took a couple of tries to get it right. The CAD models of the Z906 that are available online suck. Not going into more detail, but I understand because there isn't a straight line on any of these speakers. Category: Computer
