Simple system to replace the sloppy spring-and-cone centering system of the X56 with a set of R/C truck shocks. Effectively eliminates slop at the center and adds some level of hydraulic damping at the cost of less effective centering force. Includes two parts: Lock Ring - Replaces the thin plastic ring that holds the two halves of the spring retainer clip on. Remove the spring but keep the retainer clip. The lock ring will snap fit and is designed to fit very tight, so it will take some force. Shock Towers - 4 Req. Designed to slide over a 1/4" hitch pin that slides into the mount holes in the base. Print all parts in PLA or PLA+ for better longevity. Required hardware: 130mm R/C shock absorber - I used this exact one - https://www.ebay.com/itm/403277688417 but any shock of suitable length should work. 4x 1/4" pin or rod - I'm using a 1/4 x 2" steel hitch pin but anything suitably smooth like wooden dowel could work. Should be about 2" long to make a stable base for the shock tower. 4x M4 screw and nut to mount shocks to shock towers 4x M3x12 screw and nut to mount shocks to lock ring
