The stock clamp screws on these Logitech racing wheels leave you struggling for a good grip, making it difficult to bind them to the desk. Loosening the clamps after a racing session can be a real challenge. I created an alternative cap for the screw that tightens the clamps, using the clamp handle designed by Faztastic as a permanent replacement for the stock screw top. To disassemble my wheel and remove the tops of the screws, I followed this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZtwlwZxVII. - Once you've got your Logitech racing wheel taken apart, you can easily remove the top of the screw with a pair of grips and a gentle back-and-forth pulling motion (check out the photo with a wrench). - After printing your replacement screw heads, put the top casing of the wheel on first. Then attach your new top piece because the new handle is too large to fit through the holes in the cover. - Place the spring back into the screw and just push the handles down over the threaded portion (pay attention to align the screw head so that the retaining clips slide over the correct slot on the threaded part). - Reassemble the rest of the wheel and enjoy effortless loosening of the clamps.
