Replacement clips for Logitech k800 keycaps are a viable option, but they may be too fine for FDM printing, which can result in layer adhesion issues when using PLA. However, these replacement clips work exceptionally well when printed with SLA technology. To replace the old clips, start by removing any remaining fragments from the scissor part and sand it flat to create a smooth surface. Next, attach the new replacement clips to the scissor part, applying a small amount of superglue to the flat surface of the clips. Carefully insert the scissor part into the keycap, ensuring that it clicks firmly into place. A tiny bit of force is necessary at this stage. Once the superglue has dried completely, remove the scissor part from the replacement clip and install it into the keyboard. Finally, reattach the keycap to its new home. It's worth noting that the added thickness of 0.2mm may cause the keycap to sit slightly at an angle, which is a normal consequence of this modification. Blueprints for these replacement clips can be found in the photos provided, and we'd love to hear from you if they fit any other keyboards.
