Logitech G430/G230/G930 ear holder replacement for M4 screws
thingiverse
I was in a bind when my G430's hinges gave out - not once, but twice! After trying the replacement ear holder screws and watching them fail as well, I was desperate for something more substantial. That's why I went on the hunt for better alternatives and lost some of the original screws in the process. To ensure that everything stays put, I took matters into my own hands and drilled new holes in the tiny screws' threads. The holes are about 4.2mm in diameter to accommodate M4 screws, which provide a much more secure hold. I must admit that the holes aren't as precise as I would have liked due to the limitations of Tinkercad's design capabilities. However, it's all part of the DIY process, and I'm willing to live with a few imperfections if it means having a functional G430. The end result might look a bit rough around the edges, but hey, it gets the job done - and so far, so good!
