Logitech G35 Ear Cup Retainer
thingiverse
This part is meant to replace the ear cup retaining piece that commonly cracks/breaks on the Logitech G35 headset. It's designed to hold the ear cup inwards at a steep angle of 15%, which looks a bit awkward but sits comfortably on my head, and I've had no complaints after using it for two weeks. I fixed mine with friction welding and also repaired my friend's, but then his dog yanked it off the desk and I wasn't looking forward to welding 18 pieces back together. Print Settings Printer: Davinci - Repetier Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .03 Infill: 100% Notes: Print as you like, but I found that printing it face down with the inside part facing upwards produced a good result. Post-Printing I widened the holes on the metal arm to accommodate the 3m allen head bolts and matching hex nuts. After assembling it, I suggest adding a padded spacer to the outside cut to give it a more comfortable fit. Being impatient, I just tightened it until it held. How I Designed This The inner piece was still in one piece, so I scanned it to get the screw pattern and outer silhouette. I imported this as an SVG into blender, extruded 10mm, shaped it to my liking, then used boolean operations to remove the screw/nut inserts, and once more to split it into two pieces.
