A revised version of G29 Switch Extension has been created. The original design proved ineffective when fully tightened down, resulting in inadequate flexibility at the pivot point of the lever-style switch. To address this issue, the design has been modified from a single part to three separate components, creating a hinge mechanism that allows the plate to move more freely when secured in place. After printing, the steering wheel's concave shape necessitated a slight modification - applying heat with a hairdryer and bending the plate ever so slightly to achieve proper alignment. The button actuation force remains relatively low due to its lever design, but redesigning the switch itself appears to be the only viable solution for improvement. Future enhancements could involve replacing this remix with a more sophisticated design featuring an actual hinge mechanism; however, expertise in modeling is currently beyond my capabilities.
