Logitech G29 F1 Steering Wheel
thingiverse
This is my F1 style steering wheel for the Logitech G29 Steering Wheel which replaces both the wheel itself and the shifter paddles. The wheel takes inspiration from the McLaren 650 GT3 racing wheel, and I have designed this from the scratch using Fusion 360 to create the models from screenshots of the Fanatec wheel on the internet. The only exception is the handles which are a scaled down and modified version of handles by https://www.thingiverse.com/Fox_85 from his Mclaren 650 wheel at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3025648. The wheel consists of Base Plate - Front section Back Frame - Providing visual thickness and structural rigidity Options Surround - Part to frame the PS/Options/Share button of the controller Button - 2 sizes, can be trimmed to fit Button Surround - clips in to the holes on the base plate to make more of a finished feel for the buttons Handles - Left and right in both solid form and in halves (depending on how you wish to print) Paddles - Shorter paddles replacing the alu Logitech ones The wheel is put together using M3 x 20 Hex bolts and nuts for most holes with exception of bottom 2 on frame which require M3 x 25 Hex bolts The example printed is my own which has a hole in the base plate so I could put in my logo. I created the paddles as the stock paddles were too big and interfered with the handles when using the wheel. I printed this on an Ender 3 Pro. I suggest for handles that you use a high fill density to get a solid feel. Also it is worth printing Paddles and button surrounds effectively as solids. I hope you enjoy the wheel and if you have any questions let me know.
