Logitech G29 F1 Steering Wheel
thingiverse
This is my custom F1 style steering wheel designed for the Logitech G29 Steering Wheel, completely replacing both the original wheel and shifter paddles. The wheel's design takes inspiration from the McLaren 650 GT3 racing wheel, which I recreated from scratch using Fusion 360 based on screenshots of the Fanatec wheel online. The only exception is the handles, which are a scaled-down version of those designed by Fox_85 from his Mclaren 650 wheel. The wheel consists of several components: * Base Plate - Front section * Back Frame - Providing visual thickness and structural rigidity * Options Surround - Part to frame the PS/Options/Share button of the controller * Button - Two sizes, can be trimmed to fit * Button Surround - Clips into the holes on the base plate for a finished look * Handles - Left and right in both solid form and halves (depending on printing preference) * Paddles - Shorter paddles replacing the original aluminum Logitech ones The wheel is assembled using M3 x 20 Hex bolts and nuts, with M3 x 25 Hex bolts required for the bottom two holes on the frame. I printed my example using an Ender 3 Pro, and I recommend printing handles with high fill density for a solid feel. Also, print Paddles and button surrounds as solids to achieve optimal results. I hope you enjoy this custom wheel, and if you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
