Logitech G27 F1 style steering wheel with original buttons
thingiverse
This is my remix of the F1 steering wheel by S_Jackson (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3023908). - thanks for the awesome work. He decided to go with custom buttons but I thought that I could somehow use the original G27 buttons and put them on the new steering wheel. So I went to TinkerCad and filled in the holes and I added an adaptor that I made by myself and stuck it on the top plate of the wheel. Works really well, the only difficult part is running the wires the right way but it's not that hard at all. To get the wheel mounted you will need to use an adaptor for 70mm wheel. (I used this one and it works with the wiring https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3837453) You will need M3 nuts and bolts for screwing the top plate together to the back and some M5 nuts and bolts to secure the wheel to the adaptor and base. The print takes quite a bit of time but it's definitely worth it. The grips are harder to print, lay them flat, use supports and you should be good to go. I even printed a Ferrari logo and stuck it in the middle. (find and use whatever you like) For those who would like to use the button adaptor on other wheels, it is included in the download. Enjoy!
