Logitech H-Shifter Mods ==================== These two simple components significantly improve the shifting feel of the H-shifter. They are loosely based on changes made in a video here, so you can use this video as a guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCyt_4luwF0&t=224s Spacer --------------------- The spacer reduces gear selection suspension travel. A spring presses a ball into prefabricated holes, positioning the shift lever front/centre/rear. With each movement, the ball is pushed inwards and the spring is tensioned. At the next hole, the spring pushes the ball out again. Reducing the spring's travel makes it harder, resulting in less gear lever play. It also requires more force to shift gears, making the feel more realistic. The gearshift now feels like the MX5 NB. Reverse Gear Ring --------------------- This ring serves as a spacer for the spring to push the gear knob downwards. It increases the effort required to select reverse gear and prevents accidental engagement. You can vary the required power by scaling the spacers accordingly.
