Logitech F310 controller BAYX SNES-style button swap
prusaprinters
This design allows the buttons of the Logitech F310 game controller to be swapped into the traditional SNES-style layout. Some non-reversible modifications to the original plastic shell of the controller are needed. Please be aware that the 3D model is not 100% perfect and will need minor tuning. I did not have much patience with it, as I knew that I would have to do some sanding and filing anyway. In review, this is quite a non-sense mod, but the kids like it. Post-Printing The case is to be opened via the screws from the back side. There are no screws hidden under the decal. After printing, the surfaces mating with the buttons may need to be sanded smooth. A good surface is essential for a good tactile feeling and to make the buttons spring back reliably. Inside the plastic shell, the original plastic tubes which hold the button caps need to be cut away. The replacement should be glued in. When using hot glue, be careful not to warp the 3d print. Line up perfectly or buttons will bind. How I Designed This The design has been made with FreeCAD (daily development version). Category: Video Games
