Logitech C920 lightweight replacement tripod mount

This is a mount designed to replace the bulky/heavy mounting base on the Logitech C920 webcam, featuring a standard 1/4-20 tripod screw hole. There are two versions of this mount: a low profile version that sits approximately flush with the bottom of the camera and has a 6mm depth tripod screw hole at the back of the mount; and a high profile version that adds an additional 15mm of height to the base and features a 10mm depth tripod screw hole in the center. To install, remove the front cover of the webcam by taking out eight screws, then remove the stock base by unscrewing four screws. The first screws can be found underneath two rubber pads on the bottom of the camera case; once removed, pop out the side pieces by inserting a poking tool into a small slot and prying open one side. You will then have access to the four screws that hold the transparent plastic cover in place; remove these and lift off the cover. Next, take out the four screws that hold the stock base, allowing it to slide out. Insert the mount through the bottom of the camera case, aligning the middle hole on the mounting bracket with a small peg that clips the mount into place. Once aligned, reinsert the four screws that hold the mount and reattach the front panel of the camera. A 12mm tripod thumb screw is also included for added convenience.
