Needed a web cam mount that was not restricted to only vertical up/down adjustments like the standard mount that comes with the Logitech C920 webcam. This is because I like to use two side by side monitors angled slightly. Thus mounting it on either monitor puts it at an angle. The addition of the ball joint solves this problem.
