Logitech C270 Web Cam Gantry Mount for RigidBot

I wanted a camera mounted on my Rigidbot's gantry, fixed at the hot end at all times, without needing extra hardware. This is what I came up with. It's designed for a Logitech C270 webcam, but other Logitech cameras might fit as well. The camera is positioned so it clears the bed and any printed objects that might be on it. I placed it as far back as possible for the widest view, while still keeping it inside the RigidBot frame. It inserts snugly into the gantry beam on the side and is angled such that the lens points to the exact center of the bed when the bed is centered. The camera hangs below the hot end, giving an excellent view at all times. The only real blind spot is if the hot end is tucked all the way toward the X motor, but correcting this blind spot while keeping the camera in-bounds would have meant larger blind spots elsewhere. Post-printing installation is required. To install the camera, remove it from its original mount by taking out two rubber plugs on either end of the hinge (I used an xacto knife). Then, remove a small philips screw from one side and push out the plastic hinge pin to free the camera. The hinge pin and screw will need to be reused during installation. There's enough room to insert the hinge pin from the inside edge. If insertion is difficult, make sure the pin is aligned properly with anti-rotation flats inside the mount. Once through, snug up the philips screw on the outside edge to keep the pin from backing out. This should be tight enough that the camera holds its position without sagging. Once installed on the mount, the camera can be inserted into the gantry beam. It should be snug to prevent movement, but you may need to use a razor to shave down any edges with spurs or ooze preventing it from inserting all the way.
