Logitech C270 Tripod Mount
prusaprinters
A simple tripod mount for the Logitech C270 webcam. With so many churches needing to stream services because of the COVID-19 lockdowns, and a shortage of webcams, I hope this will help someone deploy their old C270 - a decent camera, inexpensive and still relatively easy to get hold of. The original (and rather silly) mount needs to be removed from your C270. There is a pin running through the hinge at the back, covered at both ends by a tiny rubber pad. Remove the rubber pads with a pin or small knife, unscrew the locking screw at one end and then push the pin out. You may be able to reuse the pin to attach the camera to this mount - I just used an M3x30 screw I had to hand, which worked very well. The hole in the base should be just right for the 1/4" thread of the tripod to "bite" into - no nut should be needed. Hopefully you can just use the STL, but the OpenSCAD source is provided just in case.
