Logitech C170 webcam mount for daVinci 3D Printer
thingiverse
This mount is designed for the Logitech C170 webcam specifically, pairing it perfectly with the daVinci 1.0 printer. The camera fits snugly on top and towards the back of the bed, giving a clear view from behind. I had hoped for a wider Field of View in the C170, but webcams typically struggle with this limitation. Nevertheless, it gets the job done, and I'm satisfied. I chose the Logitech webcam because it seamlessly integrates with OctoPrint right out of the box without any complicated adjustments, and its affordability was an added bonus. I make use of the webcam in conjunction with OctoPrint, keeping a close eye on print jobs through the web-based interface. For a visual representation of the mount's vantage point, I've included some video footage and accompanying images. You'll find a SketchUp file attached for any modifications or alterations you might wish to implement. To get started: The mount was printed with the daVinci printer using 0.35mm layer thicknesses and 10% fill rates. Repetier firmware version 0.92 is what I'm running, and I've included the original gcode file that I used to print it directly from OctoPrint.
