Logitech C-170 Faceplate
thingiverse
I acquired a set of clip-on lenses for smartphones to overcome the narrow field of view (FOV) of the C-170 buildplate. With the 0.36x wide-angle lens, the C-170 now displays the entire bed. I designed a replacement with a thread for the smartphone lens. Since I couldn't determine the exact thread dimension on the lens, I made an approximation using ANSI 17mm X 1. The fit is tight enough, but it doesn't screw in completely. If I find the correct dimensions, I'll update this design. The added weight of the lens may cause some vibrations, but I'm not overly concerned as some users mount a GoPro to that arm without issues. For the provided .STL file, I removed my logo to reduce printing time. The GoPro mount adapter used in these images is available on Thingiverse under jojo31's design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2413561). I appreciate their contribution. The lens kit can be found on Amazon at https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B017GVNCYQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
