Logitech B905 AKA "QuickCam for Notebooks" webcam tripod mount
pinshape
If you've got an outdated webcam collecting dust and it would be perfect for keeping tabs on your 3D prints or similar projects, but its plastic mount is a major letdown that won't attach to anything useful, then this is exactly what you need. Once this design is printed out, you'll need to carefully pry off the little rubber cap from the pivot at the side of the camera and remove one screw. Next, pull the old clamp off sideways and insert the metal rod into this newly 3D-printed part. Use the same screw to fasten the camera back in place. This design is compatible with a standard 1/4-20 screw-mount tripod, just like you would use for a camera - but don't over tighten it! This design should print smoothly without any supports if the side where the screw inserts lies flat on the bed. When working with 3D-printed threads, running a correct-sized tap through can help clean up the thread and get everything running smoothly. Tested on Prusa MK3S with PLA, printing at a resolution of 0.1mm takes around 45 minutes. The pivot maintains the same up/down tilt action as the original mount. Once you've got this new design in place, it's time to put the old clamp away somewhere safe for future use.
