Bring the joys of patching home with this commemorative holiday ornament!

I know that there are a lot of us out there that are tired from the tireless efforts of patching and dealing with “logj4” and to commemorate our efforts I put together a quick holiday keepsake that you can make and hang at home. They are also on a sprue to make it easier to give to friends and colleagues as a wonderful way to remind them of the exhausting efforts that they are going through to patch for this issue.

I have added all parts in the model individually so that they can be printed for repair or just saving filament if you don't intend to need or want the sprue. Individual parts are done at the large scale so make sure that when you scale the parts you do it together as they are interlocking and need to all stay relative to the size of the other parts.

Note: I am still doing some edits and printing the designs now to confirm that I like the fit of the snapping pieces. It should all go together with pressure and no glue should be needed. Let me know if there are any issues and I will work on getting them fixed as this is my first go at a “model style” put together print.

UPDATES PULL FROM THE log4j HOLIDAY ORNAMENT RESPONSE SLACK CHANNEL

December 19th 2021 23:54 PST: Vulnerabilities were found in the upper and lower support pins causing main failure and causing them to not fit correctly stopping all spinning. Our Vulnerability research team will be working through tonight on the issue. Pagers are on for alerting the main response team and there will be no open bridge this evening.

Next Update schedules for December 20th 2021 10:30 PST - For further information refer to the log4j holiday ornament response in Slack.

New Update

December 20th 2021 11:48 PST: Vulnerabilities that were found in the upper and lower support pins have now been remediated. Extra allowance was made in the following parts to allow for better insert and spin clearance. This update also includes the poop emoji as it was found very early this morning from the comments that user (dougmeek) found an exploit that the poop emoji would cause an overflow of humour. The poop emoji patch was created to cover this variant so reprints will need to be done to patch your ornament for this. All updates can be found in the “log4mug_update_patch_full” file and are placed in a single sprue for easy reprint of all patched parts.

-happy printing “the log4j Holiday Ornament Support team”
