Loft5-1
thingiverse
This diminutive vase is dubbed Loft5-1, as it marks the first model in which I employed a Loft surface derived from five control curves: a top and bottom heptagon, plus three ellipses situated between them. By keeping the vase compact, I aimed to facilitate rapid printing (7 hours and 38 minutes at an 80 mm/sec speed with a 0.200 mm layer height), thereby allowing me to gauge my new printer's capacity for producing smooth outer surfaces while minimizing stringing issues. To print this design effectively, I recommend utilizing a brim due to the limited contact area between the vase's base and the print bed.
