Loft Ladder end caps

I've got a loft ladder with caps that have fallen off, leaving the bare aluminum exposed - it's a sharp and unforgiving metal. To make do in the meantime, I tried to replicate one of the remaining caps, but unfortunately, it turned out poorly as the original was flimsy and only did the minimum required.
