Locomotive Locotracteur BERLIET - Shunter BERLIET HO Scale
thingiverse
Berliet was a French manufacturer that built trucks. In the 1920s, their factory produced trains using truck engines. The company's name became synonymous with high-quality trucks and massive mining vehicles in Africa. A small locomotive emerged around 1926 to efficiently sort train cars for French railways. The old company PLM purchased some of these locomotives, which were later used by SNCF (the national railway company established in 1938). PLM utilized capstans and cables to move train cars. However, SNCF modified the trains for safety reasons, either pushing or pulling them. The Berliet YBE locotracteur came in two versions: PLM and SNCF. After being retired from SNCF service, some of these locomotives were used by private companies and tourism resorts. Over 70 years passed, resulting in various models designed for different company needs. For detailed information, search online for the Berliet YBE locotracteur documents. To build a model train, fix the exhaust pipe on the roof and bumpers. However, note that the color schemes mentioned in my documentation are incorrect. Use gray for PLM with possible red or black bumpers. For SNCF, use green for the cab and black for the chassis with red bumpers. Private companies may have used different colors. My model train design will be available soon in OO and On30 scales, along with some pictures of my production. Show me your handmade creation!
