Locking Shim for Shoe Mount on Aluminum GoPro Case

Locking Shim for Shoe Mount on Aluminum GoPro Case

thingiverse

This is a shim that gets installed in the shoe mount of a GoPro Hero 7 White camera case. When installed in the shoe mount, the shim prevents the cover from sliding off the case, possibly allowing the camera to fall out. The cover is held in pretty tight and it probably takes quite a hard bump to cause it fall out of place, but when you are using these cameras on the outside of an airplane it is better to take every precaution. It is designed for this specific camera mount: Aluminium Case Protective Skeleton Frame with 52mm UV Filter and Lens Cap for Gopro HERO7 Silver/White Camera Aluminium Case The shim is held in by friction and is a snug fit. Every camera case has different manufacturing tolerances so you might have to tweak this to get it to work with your specific case.
