These test components were crafted to evaluate the functionality of connectors while minimizing waste. Tight tolerances of 0.05mm make assembly challenging unless print quality is excellent and flawless. Reducing side tabs by 0.25mm (a quarter millimeter) resolved the fitting issue, followed by a vertical height reduction in the latest iteration. These were among my second and third prints ever made. The final working version, as indicated in the end-use file, fits together seamlessly with a quarter turn due to precise tolerances and smooth print quality. Print Settings: Printer: Makerbot 200 Rafts: Disabled Supports: Not necessary, as they can interfere with fit. These initial designs feature extremely tight tolerances. Infill: Custom-defined / Solid Notes: Supports are unnecessary and may compromise the fitting mechanism. I designed these components from scratch for use in modular parts printed on small-scale printers using 123 Design software.
