Locking Dovetail Puzzle Box
myminifactory
This Puzzle was designed after viewing Mr. Puzzles' video on YouTube, prompting me to create a money gift box for a friend that would seem impossible to solve at first glance. I succeeded in making this Dovetail Puzzle Box work well, which is also a fun print to make. Currently, it only holds a rolled-up bill as needed, but soon an update will be added with a much larger storage compartment. Alternatively, you can still print the puzzle without the locking mechanism if you prefer or don't have the necessary parts. To solve this puzzle, simply place the bottom of the top with the red side facing up and hit it gently with some force. This releases the steel ball from its magnetic hold, allowing it to slide at a 45-degree angle. To assemble the locking feature, press fit a 6mm diameter by 4mm high magnet into the hole in the box's bottom, then insert a 15mm steel ball into the larger hole to serve as your locking mechanism. (Warning: this puzzle has sharp edges that can cause injury if not handled carefully.)
