This bracket, designed as a printable substitute for laser-cut equivalents, supports threaded z-axis rods. Captive nuts secure 608-style skate bearings in place via side-mount bolts, eliminating the need to align nuts vertically. A revised U-shaped z-platform may aid z-axis removal (Small Makerbot Parts: thing 926). Note 1 suggests increasing inner radius by 0.1mm for tight ABS print fit around bearings. The 20090928 variant increases bearing radius by 0.5mm and adds a 1mm ring to the top for reinforcement. LaserCut files are available for laser cutters only. GNU GPL licenses applied due to Cupcake design influence. For optimal bearing fit, choose between downloading the 20090927 or 20090928 variants. Print using rafts and preferred skeinforge settings. Ensure a clean print by clearing strands with M3 bolts and testing bearing fit. Insert captive nuts in side-mount holes and mount bracket on the Cupcake Top. Adjust z-axis height to align with side-mount hole positions, then tighten side-mount bolts for secure placement.
