Locking Ball & Socket Arm with free Harbor Freight bed lights
thingiverse
Modified an already great design, all parts are interchangeable with the original design & the remixed design. (so this is a remixed remix). There a are a few minor changes, but most importantly, a bigger tunnel through the center to allow for wiring. IDK about anyone else, but I have more than a dozen of those free Harbor Freight blue flashlights, so I decided to put them to use. I took one apart & designed the light pod to fit the LED strip in it. But when taking apart more, I found out there were small differences in the internals, you may have to cut the LED to fit. the light pod also fits one 3-segment of 12v LED SMD strip lights. You can print the light pod with or without support, either will need a slight amount of knife cleanup. The 2 pieces snap together without any glue. The base slides into a rail (use build plate support), and fits a little snug so it stays in place. There are 2 routing options, in the rail, or above. edit: changed some files to their print orientation & added a lock ring that's .005" tighter if you prefer it. added a piece with 1/4-20 threads for a camera mount added a piece for flange mounting
