Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II
thingiverse
I designed this F-35 model in Autodesk Inventor by first studying images of top, front, and side views. Using those visuals as a reference, I carefully traced the shape and curves of the aircraft to get it just right. Next, I employed a range of techniques including extrusions, rotations, lofts, and other features to bring the plane to life in 3D form. When it came time to print the model, I selected a high detail profile and followed the temperature guidelines provided for the Makerbot grey PLA filament. Specifically, I set my extruder heat to 220 Celsius and my build plate heat to 60 Celsius.
