First created in November 2010, this highly detailed model boasts near-scale accuracy, high-quality textures, and numerous animated features such as flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, and propellers. The retractable landing gear can be closed with functional landing gear doors. This model supersedes our previous L188 Electra version, boasting improved face smoothness, higher poly-counts, and remodeled aircraft components, along with revamped materials. The interior features a detailed cockpit with controls, instrument panels, and seating, as well as a flight engineer's seat. The overhead panel is complete. The cabin includes double-walled fuselage, seats with animateable drop-down tables, overhead racks, galley and lavatory bulkheads, and doors. The interior features blue seating and a blue-gray carpeted floor. The model comes in eight different formats and various airline liveries. The Lockheed Electra first appeared in the mid-1950s, entering service in 1959 with several US airlines. They served larger carriers until the mid-1970s before being sold to regional operators, charter airlines, and cargo firms. Known for their economic operation and good safety record, they often outperformed jet airliners on certain routes.
