The Lockheed Electra aircraft originated in the mid-1950s, first flying in 1957 and entering service in 1959 across various US airlines. Serving larger airlines until the 1970s, they were then sold to regional carriers, charter airlines, and cargo freight companies. With an original capacity of 66 passengers, it increased over time up to 99 passengers. Known for their economy and safety records, these turboprop airliners were powered by four Allison Turboprops and boasted 13-foot diameter propellers, making them the fastest in their class. In fact, they could often outpace jet airliners on certain routes. A fully textured model of this aircraft was built in November 2010 and features animatable parts such as flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, and propellers. Landing gear retracts and landing gear doors close. The quality materials and textures are included in the download. This updated version has smoother faces and higher poly-count than its 2006 predecessor. Inside, there's a detailed cockpit, cabin, and galley with authentic features like animatable drop-down tables, overhead racks, and lavatory bulkheads. The cabin has blue seating and a blue-gray carpeted floor. This model is available for immediate download in seven formats with all textures and materials included.
