This November 2010 model, near-scale and of high quality, features detailed exterior elements such as animateable flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, and propellers. The landing gear is retractable with closed doors, and replaces the earlier Electra version with enhanced face smoothness, poly-count increase, and remodeled aircraft materials. Interior detail includes cockpit, cabin, galley, double-walled fuselage, animateable drop-down tables, overhead racks, bulkheads, and lavatory doors. The interior features blue seating on a blue-gray carpeted floor. Available in eight formats and numerous airline liveries, the Lockheed Electra originated in mid-1950s designs and entered service in 1959 for US airlines, serving until the mid-1970s before moving to regional carriers, charter airlines, and cargo companies. Their efficient operation and good safety record often outpaced jet airliners on certain routes.
