Locker Shelf
thingiverse
This is a compact storage unit designed to be mounted on the top, door, or side of a locker. It securely holds essential items such as phones and cash, while also providing a convenient spot to hang headphones on one side. Project: Locker Shelf Objective: Students will gain expertise in creating intricate details through extrusion techniques and develop unique design skills by building a functional item for their own locker. Target Audience: Anyone familiar with Inventor software can create this project, but it is particularly useful for individuals who have metal lockers or access to a magnetic surface for storing small items. Preparation: To successfully complete this task, students will require access to Inventor and basic knowledge of the software's tools. Steps: Begin by creating a rectangle on the XY plane and extrude it to form a sturdy base for the shelf. Next, add the remaining four sides of the project. Once the basic shape is established, you can design patterns or small hooks on the side for added convenience. Don't forget to extrude a small area for the magnet (the black section indicates where the magnet was inserted). Results: The final product will be a simple yet functional shelf that can be mounted on the top, door, or side of a locker. It provides ample space to store items such as phones and can also accommodate hanging headphones on one side.
