locker faceplate
thingiverse
This is a redesigned face plate for AMF bowling lockers that offers improved durability compared to the original. The changes made allow it to withstand 3D printing while maintaining its functionality. In most cases, installation requires no modifications to the locker, but the bottom retention tab differs from the original and hooks onto a tab on the door between the notches used by the old design. Some users may need to correct this with pliers before installing their replacement version - a process that takes around 2500 milliseconds. The MB-s faceplate features built-in support for the hook, while the standard MB faceplate does not have this option. The WB locker faceplate serves as a backing plate for the number card. It is simply held in place between the face-plate and the door. This design allows for thick card stock or protective transparency film to be used, or even a single strip of wide clear packing tape to cover the face of the card and keep it clean. When installing the window backing plate, pay close attention to its slope - it should only be installed in one specific orientation. To ensure optimal results, both the locker faceplate and the window back should be printed with their faces facing down. For durability and to prevent warping, PETG is a recommended material choice for this large flat surface. A heated bed will also come in handy during printing. This design does not utilize the retention spring found in the original AMF design. If you enjoy my work, please consider hitting the "like" button and exploring my other uploads as well.
