Lockable light switch guard

Lockable light switch guard

thingiverse

A protective cover for a light switch featuring a latch that prevents accidental flipping. The cover can be secured further by inserting a small lock into the hole or adding an obstacle that must be overcome to access the switch. While this won't deter determined individuals, it will alert you if someone attempts to use the switch. I encountered difficulties with automatic support structures, so I've included custom supports for your convenience. These custom supports yielded excellent results in my tests, but as always, your mileage may vary. This design utilizes a scrap piece of 1.75mm filament for the hinge. To shape it, heat up a metal object (such as a putty knife) with a heat gun and press it to one end of the filament until it expands and flattens to your desired thickness. Then, insert the shaped piece through the holes and carefully flatten the other end without causing excessive melting to the cover.
