The Rotary Airer can be extremely challenging to operate when strong winds are present, making it difficult for both my elderly Mother and several friends to securely hold the washing line and hang out the laundry. My Mother suffered a severe head injury when the wind caught the rotary arms causing the washing line to violently swing into her forehead. This device empowers users to lock in place the rotation of the arms and utilize both hands to safely load the washing, then release the locking mechanism to enable unrestricted rotation of the rotary line for drying the laundry. We believe this product would be a valuable addition as it could easily be integrated into all washing lines as a standard safety feature. We possess a patent and feel that the design can be refined slightly, but overall we firmly believe it would be a worthwhile investment for just a little more cost. I firmly believe that this device makes life easier and safer for individuals, particularly the elderly and people with disabilities who struggle with everyday laundry tasks.
