lock&hook

lock&hook

thingiverse

This innovative design was created to address the issue of insufficient locks on public bathroom doors, making life easier by providing a portable solution that doubles as a hook for purses and jackets. Key features include its foldability, weight-based locking mechanism, one-build print capability, customizable messaging, affordability, and adaptability to different door sizes. To print, use your Makerbot with desired color in a single build; attach the vertical part to the top part using a dab of plastic glue if needed. The pin is printed for strength against shearing. For use, simply remove the lock&hook from your purse or pocket, flip out the vertical piece, and slide it between the door and frame, resting the top on the door. Hang your jacket or purse to increase latching power – an original solution to a common problem.
