Lock Blade Utility Knife
thingiverse
This utility knife features a locking blade mechanism and uses standard blades; it requires a small screw for blade retention. Attached SolidWorks files offer instructions for 3D printing the handle, blade holder, and pin. Trim off the "locking tab supports" and adjust the pin's thickness as needed. Assemble the knife and secure the pin using ABS juice or Goof Off. Insert the blade with an M3 x 8 screw and enjoy a one-handed-opening, pocket-clipped, lightweight cutting tool. Consider redesigning for a screw-less blade attachment or modifying the thumb-stud for this feature.
