Loches MakerGear Inline Fan Mount
thingiverse
As of July 23, 2012, a more stable version 3 of the fan mounts has been uploaded, featuring solid construction between two screw mounts for enhanced durability. Earlier, on May 21, 2012, an improved version 2 was introduced, printing flat on their backs to provide better structural support and prevent easy breakage. Additionally, a 20-degree and 30-degree angled versions (named with the postfix 20d and 30d) were uploaded on May 16, 2012, for fans aimed downwards. This 40mm fan mount is designed to be mounted on the bolt(s) connecting the extruder block to the X-Carriage on a MakerGear Prusa, positioned inline with the X tracks. Due to its small and delicate nature, exercise caution during printing. Initially, you can print only one for use with a single fan; however, my intention was to have an even distribution of fans on both sides. An image has been included to illustrate proper mounting on the X-Carriage.
