A recent excursion to Lewis provided a chance to explore several shieling huts in and around Glen Bragar - they possess distinctive characteristics with double-walled structures and symmetrical doorways, often accompanied by niches built into their robust walls. This specific hut is not as well-maintained, yet displays many of the same features as its nearby counterparts.
