I recently ventured to the Achmore area on the Isle of Lewis, uncovering an abundance of material that still warrants recording on future excursions.\nThe abandoned bothan to the south-west of the main Luerbost Airighean group is situated at the eastern end of Loch Airigh na h-Uisge (Loch of the Water Shieling).\nThis trio of ruined bothans, strategically positioned in the lee of a small cliff for protection from the prevailing wind direction, offers an intriguing glimpse into the past.
