Localised test strip maker for darkroom photography
thingiverse
A versatile test strip maker designed specifically for darkroom photography. This device is tailored to produce 80x60mm test papers, which can be easily created by cutting standard 18x24cm sheets into thirds. Feel free to experiment with scaling during the printing process. To facilitate optimal positioning and image visibility, try printing with the white side facing upwards. Once you've achieved the desired print, apply a coat of black paint to the bottom surface to prevent light leaks. Alternatively, start by printing in reverse - with the black side facing up - and switch to white if your printer supports filament changes. Recent updates include the addition of two STL files: MPPTopScrew.stl and MPPBaseScrew.stl. These files enable you to assemble the test strip maker using small wood screws, providing a secure and reliable construction. Additionally, an MPU (test strip maker unit) has been developed for 9x12cm paper, which can be cut from 18x24cm sheets into quarters. This MPU is designed to be screwed onto a wooden board, ensuring proper height and focus alignment with standard enlarging easels.
