I was in dire need of a wheelchair-mounted, elbow-activated switch for a client with severely limited mobility. I found the perfect solution: a locline mounted switch that utilizes a 1.5 inch push button switch sourced from Banggood. To ensure a sleek and unobtrusive setup, I opted to route all wires internally within the locline, which features a convenient 3/4" npt connection for easy attachment. This ingenious switch consists of two parts that effortlessly snap together via press fit technology. Although the switch boasts an LED light, I chose not to utilize it in this application. However, I did need to make some minor adjustments by bending the switch connector tabs to achieve a smooth fit. To complete the setup, I connected the COM and N.O. (normally open) wires for seamless functionality. This innovative solution offers several advantages over traditional mounting options, including significantly reduced weight, which translates to less sagging with the locline.
