I'm fishing on Massachusetts 10 pot recreational lobster license. The places I found to buy tags sell them in silly volume for rec licenses. I used to carve the numbers into my runner and I tried carving them into plastic plates. Neither of these were easy or readable. These are meant to fit modern plastic coated steal straps.

This is my attempt to solve that. I haven't used them yet, I worry a bit that sea life will grow into the numbers and make them unreadable but that hasn't happened on my buoy tags so I printed a set for next season.

MA's letter combination is N-- so YMMV.

I'm really curious if anyone else ends up using these. Please let me know!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

.2

Infill:

10%

Filament: Prusament PETG Red, Black

Notes:

Switch colors mid print to make the text clearly visible.
Used PETG to make more weather resistant
Printed face down to get nice surface

Printed supports for the tabs to lock into the trap but excluded supports within text

Category: Other
