Load Cell / Strain Gauge platform for 75mm long HX711 type device
thingiverse
This is a platform designed for a common 75mm load cell / strain gauge . Example here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/4543 . Print out two of these platforms, attach to the load cell with 4x 20mm M4 bolts, and you'll be good to go. The bolt holes are recessed. It has abundant screw holes so you can screw it into another platform. It's stable enough on its own to not tip over. You will need an analog to digital converter such as the HX711 board. Don't just buy the load cell and expect to hook it up to your arduino! If you are using this as a scale platform then you might want to weigh the platform and the bolts before doing any calibration so that you can adjust any tare weights. Here's a site with some example code that worked for me: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/load-cell-amplifier-hx711-breakout-hookup-guide/all . Include the library "HX711 Arduino Library" which can be found here: https://github.com/bogde/HX711 Enjoy!
