The second version of my Y-Carriage design supports 3 or 4 LM8UUs, enhancing printable area and rigidity. I'm currently using a three-legged version. Find the V3 files at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:23900. For customization with different printer models, download the SCAD files and follow in-file comments. To use 4 LM8UUs, set "three_lm8uu=0". The STL files are provided for a stock Prusa Mendel; other variants require using the SCAD files. A three-legged variant is also available by printing the 3legs-left and v2-right files. Feel free to generate customized 3-legged, 4-legged, 3 LM8UU, or 4 LM8UU carriages by adjusting variables at the top of the SCAD file. If you encounter issues or have ideas for improvement, please let me know.
