To overcome precision drilling limitations for lm8uu holders and belt tensioning issues on wooden carriages, I designed an alternative Y carriage with built-in tensioning system. Check out V2 at this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12979. For Makergear Prusa Mendel users, STL files with "makergear" suffix are provided for easy replacement of wooden Y carriages. However, standard Prusa Mendel STL files have not been personally tested due to my lack of access to a standard Prusa Mendel; proceed at your own risk. Additionally, the SCAD files are included for customizable dimension adjustments.
