LM8UU bearing clamp in Heeks
thingiverse
This Y-axis bushing clamp design is now outdated, as it has been replaced by a newer model on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30365). Created using HeeksCAD, this clamp was designed for an LM8UU bearing while working on a y-axis carriage for a Mendel Prusa. The designer couldn't find any suitable SCAD format clamps, so decided to create their own in HeeksCAD format. Although the designer may not print this design themselves, it could be useful for others designing X-axis or Y-axis carriages. The model consists of two versions: "Y_bushing_clamp2" is a single, fused object ready for printing; while "Y_bushing_clamp" includes three separate pieces - a middle part and two outriggers for mounting. All screws are 3mm with captive nuts, and a thicker-walled version has been uploaded as "Y bushing clamp 3". So, don't hesitate to print this handy design!
